Appeals Specialist-Temporary Position
(J.D. not required, fulltime position, Augusta office)
LSE is a non-profit organization that provides free legal services to Maine’s seniors.
The Appeals Specialist works within a team of people who help callers from all over the state who are having trouble getting
their prescription drugs under Medicare Part D. This position requires excellent oral communication and problem solving
skills and an ability to understand and explain technical information about different drug plans and state benefit programs.
The successful candidate must have a proven ability to provide exceptional client service while working in a fast-paced work
environment, as well as strong computer and advocacy skills. Prior experience with Medicare Part D is preferred but is not
required as extensive on-the-job training will be provided.
This is a temporary position (fulltime, M-F, 8:30 to 5:00, is preferred, but applicants seeking part-time
work will be considered) that is expected to last at least through December 31, 2010 and may become a permanent position.
