Child Poverty: Our Maine Issue

Of the 48,000 Maine children living in poverty, almost half are considered to be living in “extreme poverty,” meaning that their families’ incomes are at or below 50% of the federal poverty level. This represents a 50% increase over the last five years – the sharpest increase of any state in the nation. This short documentary by Dan D’Ippolito examines this issue and we were glad to be a part of it.
