Maine Equal Justice improves its services
for non English speakers
As of August 2011, Maine residents who do not speak English will have better access
to Maine Equal Justice’s services. We now have a phone interpretation service for people
who speak French, Spanish, Farsi, Russian and Somali.
The home page on our website also has basic information about our
services translated into these five languages.
MEJP helps people who have problems with MaineCare, TANF/ASPIRE/Parents as Scholars,
Food Supplements, and other needs-based safety net programs. With our new interpretation
service, we hope to be better able to assist residents who do not speak English.
