Are You Uninsured? Good News: DHA Expands Health Care Coverage Options
The Dirigo Health Agency (DHA) offers several health care coverage options
for you and your family:
- DirigoChoice. This is private health insurance coverage offered
through Harvard Pilgrim Health Care. NOW OPEN FOR ENROLLMENT.
You can get help for paying the monthly costs depending on your:
- Income;
- Assets; and
- Family size.
- Pre-Existing Condition Plan. This is part of the health care
reform bill that Congress passed in early 2010. OPEN FOR ENROLLMENT.
You can enroll if you:
- Have been uninsured for six months;
- Have been diagnosed with a serious medical condition, such as diabetes, asthma,
leukemia; and
- Are a US citizen, national or lawfully present in the US.
You can get help paying for the monthly costs depending on your:
- Income;
- Assets; and
- Family size.
- Part-time Worker Coverage Voucher. This helps part-time and
seasonal workers buy health insurance through their employer’s plan. The
program provides a voucher that pays for part of the monthly cost.
You can enroll if you:
- Are a part-time or seasonal worker;
- Have been uninsured for six months;
- Earn less than
- $32,490 (for an individual)
- $63,810 (for a family of four); and
- Have assets under
- $60,000 for a household of 1
- $120,000 for a household of 2 or more.
