This Conference is the first step in choosing the issues—legislative and other—that MAIN will work on over the next two years. To help make our final decisions, join us Thursday, November 18th, 10:00am to 12:30pm at the MEJP conference room, 126 Sewall St., Augusta.

At the conference, you will:

  • Discuss Issues & Vote on MAIN’s Priorities: Take part in one of the following groups to share your concerns and experiences, and to talk about what we can do together to move forward to gain economic justice and security. The lists of suggestions will be shared with everyone at the conference. You will then vote on the ones you think are most important. This will help MAIN decide which issues to work on—with your help—during the 2011 & 2012 legislative session.
    • Health Care
    • Housing/Heating
    • Safety-Net programs (TANF, General Assistance, Food Stamps, etc.)
