2010 M.A.I.N. Annual Membership Appeal & Survey
Dear members & friends,
First of all, we’d like to thank all of you who helped to defeat many
of the harmful state budget cuts proposed this past session. YOU HELPED MAKE
IT HAPPEN by testifying, contacting legislators, attending events at the State
House and sharing your experiences with us. Your actions helped protect Maine
people from dozens of harmful cuts!
For over a quarter of a century MAIN members have worked hard to make sure
the voices of people with low incomes are heard by those who make decisions
that affect our lives. As an all-volunteer organization run by people with low
income, we value our members because we recognize we would not be able to do
what we do without YOU!
We are also aware of how important it is for you to know exactly where your
money goes. We know you want your dollars to make a difference.
Your donations have helped MAIN members:
- Travel to monthly MAIN meetings & the annual conference where
we get information and help make decisions about the policies that affect us;
- Speak out at rallies and press events;
- Oppose harmful public policies; and pass legislation that improves
people’s lives;
- Improve how we are treated by government agencies.
Your contributions, financial or other, can help MAIN do what needs to be done
to support our goals and keep MAIN strong!
