Maine Voices for Coverage
Maine Needs You!

If you’ve ever had a problem with your health care or health coverage and didn’t know how to make it change for the better, this may be your chance.

Most Mainers have had some problem with their health coverage at some point. They may be uninsured. They may not have insurance that meets all of their health care needs. They may be paying too much of their income for their much needed care.

But, too often when it comes to health care, our government hears the voices of big business, insurance companies and other politicians the most. It’s time they hear your voice, too! After all, you know the most about what you need!

Maine Voices for Coverage is a new effort to get Mainers working together for positive changes in health care, with the voice of the public leading the way.

Join Maine Voices for Coverage to help us all get the quality affordable health care and coverage we all deserve!

How To Get Involved

Call: Consumers for Affordable Health Care at 207-622-7083 or 1-800-838-0388
Email: consumerhealth AT mainecahc DOT org

Act: Because we all deserve to see our family doctor when we are sick.

Maine Voices for Coverage is a statewide effort to bring the views of every day people to policymakers, so they understand our needs when they make decisions about health care policy. We want to make sure that all Mainers have access to good affordable health care when they need it.

Maine Equal Justice is a member of the team of organizations working on this project in Maine. Consumers for Affordable Health Care (CAHC) is leading the effort. The other organizations include the American Cancer Society of Maine, Maine AFL-CIO, Maine Children’s Alliance, Maine Council of Churches, Maine Center for Economic Policy, and Maine People’s Resource Center. The effort is funded in part by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
