Interested in going to college?
Need help with child care, transportation & other costs?

We need to hear from you!

There will be much discussion during this legislative session about the importance of higher education. Education beyond high school is important to help Maine people increase their earnings, and to make sure that businesses have the trained workforce they need. But, it is often very difficult for low-income people not receiving TANF to think about going to college. Even if they get financial aid to help with tuition, they can't get help with child care, transportation and the other costs of going to school.

There may be an opportunity in this legislative session to help policy makers understand that it takes more than just help with tuition for many Maine people. If you are one of those people please let us know by calling Crystal Bond, toll-free at Maine Equal Justice 1-866-626-7059 x205. Your call will help us better understand what is most important for people who want to go back to school.
