Need Help Paying Your Phone Bill?If you are low-income, Maine has a program to help with paying your phone bill.
The program pays $13.50 per month towards your monthly phone bill for your main line. (It will also pay $10.00 towards the cost of hooking up a new phone.)
To get the program, you or a member of your household must be on one of the following programs:
- TANF
- MaineCare
- Food Stamps
- Fuel Assistance/HEAP
- SSI
- Emergency Assistance
To get help, contact your phone company.
Ask about the Lifeline Program or Telephone Assistance Program.
For help with hook-ups, ask about the Link-Up Program.
